The BC Backup Server bridges the gap between modern data archival technology, and established nuclear medicine processing stations. It allows industry professionals to create DVD backups from any Pegasys™ computer on the network. BC Backup is more cost-effective and faster than existing magnetic-optical solutions present in most installations.

Backing up to DVD provides for up to 4.7 gigabytes (GB) of storage, while providing the latest in DVD-burning technology for faster completion times than obsolete 2GB magnetic-optical drives. Additionally, the DVD format is widely established in current computing systems, making such backups more versatile for use outside the traditional backup and restore.
